Ladies and Gentlemen,
On 7-10 September 2010, the Russian Ministry of Energy is holding the IPNES 2010 Innovative Electric Grid Projects Exhibition and Conference, the venue for the event to be the Electrification Exhibition Pavilion located at the All-Russia Exhibition Centre in Moscow. The event was co-sponsored by the International Sustainable Energy Development Centre, IDGC Holding and OAO Electrification Exhibition Hall. The IPNES 2010 General Sponsor is FGC UES.
IPNES 2010 exhibition will host major companies operating in the energy and electrification sectors, constituting FGC UES and IDGC, electricity distribution construction, installation and design entities. It will also bring together energy experts working in other industrial sectors, particularly, ones representing CIS countries’ industries, and electrical equipment designers and manufactures, particularly, those representing other countries.
IPNES 2010 exhibition will host major companies operating in the energy and electrification sectors, constituting FGC UES and IDGC, electricity distribution construction, installation and design entities. It will also bring together energy experts working in other industrial sectors, particularly, ones representing CIS countries’ industries, and electrical equipment designers and manufactures, particularly, those representing other countries.
- • The exhibition will bring together participants such as OOO Mekhanotronika Research and Development Centre, a designer and manufacturer of digital protective relaying devices, automated control systems and ancillary equipment for 0.4-220 kV grids;
- • ProSoft Systems, and engineering company existing since 1995 and operating in the area of designing, production and supplying of industrial automation systems and devices used in various industrial sectors;
- • OOO KomplektEnergo, an electrical equipment system integrator offering the complete range of services such as designing, customizing as part of projects, manufacturing, supplying, installation, adjustment and commissioning at a Customer’s site;
- • Bresler Research Centre, a company having powerful resources for fulfilling the whole range of both protective relaying and automation work and process automation in every voltage class by using products manufactured by the company itself (Bresler Research Centre is one of the few suppliers of research and development products for FGC UES and RAO UES;
- • OOO EKRA Research and Development Company, the only company in Russia offering microprocessor devices designed by the company itself used for protection of substation components, transformers, generators and generator-transformer units installed at electric stations having any voltage class;

The Innovative Projects in Electric Grid Sector conference sponsored by the ELECTRIC ENERGY: Transmission and Distribution research and information magazine and supported by RusCable.Ru Web gateway and ENERGOSTROY non-profit partnership is to be another IPNES 2010 event.
The key objective of the conference is to bring about a permanent venue for addressing challenging issues in the area of maintaining of functioning reliability of the electric grid sector in Russia as well as globally. The event will bring together energy community top persons, well-known Russian and international proficient energy experts, equipment manufacturers and technology developers and people representing financial institutions and scientific and design entities.
It is planned that the conference will be attended by the management of the Russian Ministry of Energy, UES Federal Grid Company, IDGC Holding, UES Scientific and Technical Council, persons to represent Gazprom and Surgutneftegaz and a number of electric grid companies.
The conference is to host presentations of designs, techniques, products and services created for enabling of efficient development of the electric grid facilities and progress of innovation-driven activity aiming to revamp the electric grid sector production and technology assets. The events held as part of the conference will enable companies’ exploring of cutting-edge techniques and establishing of business ties with service and equipment suppliers.
The event will be monitored by more than 20 federal and industry-specific mass media and covered by accredited writers working for leading business press brands and information agencies, TV and radio accredited journalists and industry-focused media. During the exhibition, the Russian Ministry of Energy’s press centre will be working on the IPNES 2010 site and will support and facilitate the activity to be pursued by journalists representing federal and regional mass media. Mass media seeking accreditation are to obtain approval from the press centre with the Russian Ministry of Energy.
The 4-day exhibition is expected to see more than 5 000 expert guests, specifically, chief engineers working for electricity grid sector companies, entity heads and business owners, federal-level functionaries, officials representing Russian trade unions, municipal and regional authorities, government overseers and controllers, research centres and institutes and energy and federal mass media reporters.
Bringing about a favourable environment to drive innovation aiming to revamp the electric grid sector production and technology assets will also be affected by how successfully the experience gained and innovative designs developed by Russian and other countries’ entities and companies will be amalgamated. The IPNES 2010 Innovative Electric Grid Projects Exhibition and Conference offers avenues with which to present entities’ and companies’ own designs, techniques, products and services developed in order to enable efficient evolution of electric grid facilities. The event will also enable discussion between companies of regulation and regulation compliance oversight challenges prevailing in the electric grid facility sector, to explore the state-of-the-art techniques and establish business ties with service and equipment suppliers.
The events to be held as part of IPNES 2010 will sensibly contribute to driving of innovation in the industry and enhancing of its competitive edge, and will be an enabler to attract investment and implementation of modern technology in the electric power grid sector.
